  • Real Estate Advisor

    Miller Dowdy was previously a Senior Vice President with Regions Bank’s Private Wealth Management Division (PWM). Based out of Tampa, Florida his role was the National RE Asset Manager for the Real Estate Group within the Natural Resources and Real Estate (NRRE) department. His focus is to assist his team of property management professionals around the country in providing “best practices” strategic consultations and investment analysis services to Regions’ customers in Trust, Agency, and Engagement relationships. Investment and property management services are available in the hard asset specialties of commercial and residential real estate, minerals, oil and gas, farms, ranches, and timberland. These general management services include day-to-day management of property operations, tax assessments, insurance reviews, leasing, maintenance and repairs, marketing plans, inspections and appraisals, contract negotiations, vendor selections, tenant improvements, capital expenditures, and property purchases and dispositions. Specialty services may include 1031 Tax Exchanges, Property Development and Renovations, Carbon Capture Methodologies, and Solar Farms.

    For the past 30 years he has provided real estate investment strategies on behalf of some of the largest public and private companies in the United States. Previous transactions have included parties such as The Marriott Corporation, The Walt Disney Company, The FDIC, The Teachers Pension Fund of New York, The Coca-Cola Company, Citigroup, General Electric Company, Service Merchandise, IBM, The American Cancer Society, The Ritz Carlton Corporation, and The Chrysler Pension Fund. He has been engaged in various officer and management capacities with the following companies: Texas Instruments Incorporated, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company (MetLife), First Union National Bank (Wells Fargo), and Security Pacific National Bank (Bank of America). During this time period he has represented numerous Buyers and Sellers in over $8+ Billion of closed investment property transactions located primarily in the Southeastern United States.

    His educational background includes a BS in Finance from Florida State University, a MBA from Valdosta State University, and a MS in Real Estate from Georgia State University. He has also been qualified and elected previously as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He has also provided professional real estate services as a Florida licensed Real Estate Broker and held licenses in the State of Florida for insurance, community management, and mortgage brokerage.

    Mr. Dowdy has an active history of community involvement in the Tampa Bay region and his activities include serving as the Founding Chairman of the Brandon Community Center and as a Planning Commissioner for The Hillsborough County Planning Commission serving the Cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Plant City as well as the County at-large. Other service includes appointment to the Hillsborough County Citizens Advisory Committee, the Hillsborough River Board, St. Petersburg Times Brandon Community Leadership Team, the YMCA Board of Directors, the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, and the USF Business Advisory Team for Sustainability. He has been presented with numerous community awards for his volunteerism including Brandon’s Citizen of the Year, The Brandon Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Award, The YMCA’s Ray Campo Leadership Award, and the following Hillsborough County Planning Commission Awards for previous community service projects: (1) Award of Merit, (2) Award of Recognition, and (3) Community Design Award of Merit.
